Big South's Projected Top 10 Players for 2026-27

The Big South has one clear team favorite, but the individual player race is deeper than the team projections suggest.

This is MMH's editorial projection of the conference's top 10 players entering 2026-27.

See the full Big South preview for the complete conference outlook.

The projected top 10

1. Cam'Ron Fletcher, High Point — forward

Fletcher averaged 13.2 points and 7.1 rebounds while shooting 54.4 percent from the field. He is the centerpiece of the league's deepest roster.

2. Jaylen Peterson, Presbyterian — forward

Peterson averaged 10.9 points, 7.5 rebounds and 1.5 blocks and was the 2025-26 Big South Defensive Player of the Year.

3. CJ Brown, High Point — guard

Brown arrives from South Florida after averaging 10.9 points, 3.9 rebounds and 4.7 assists.

4. Carl Parrish, Presbyterian — guard

Parrish is one of the league's most important returning guards and a major reason MMH is high on Presbyterian.

5. MJ Williams, Longwood — guard

Williams averaged 10.0 points, 3.5 rebounds and 4.2 assists at Eastern Kentucky and gives Longwood a high-level creator.

6. Jason Rivera Torres, High Point — wing

Rivera Torres averaged 15.8 points, 8.1 rebounds and 2.9 assists at Monmouth.

7. Isaac Garrett, High Point — forward

Garrett averaged 13.7 points and 7.1 rebounds at Oakland and adds another proven producer to the Panthers.

8. Triston Wilson, Presbyterian — guard

Wilson is part of the continuity that makes Presbyterian unusually stable entering the season.

9. Ja'Corey Lipkins, UNC Asheville — guard

Lipkins averaged 14.3 points at Charleston (WV) before redshirting last season at Purdue Fort Wayne.

10. Tyler Parrish, Winthrop — wing

Parrish gives Winthrop another experienced perimeter option on a roster trying to stay in the upper half.

Next in line

TJ Robinson of Longwood, Chidi Chiakwelu of Presbyterian, Ja'Corey Robinson of Radford, Anthony Smith III of Winthrop and Tylon Chatman of UNC Asheville are all close.
