Atlantic 10's Projected Top 10 Players for 2026–27
2026-10-01
The Atlantic 10 brings back proven all-conference players while welcoming transfers who were primary scorers elsewhere. This is MMH's editorial projection of 2026–27 impact, informed by Blue Ribbon's conference outlook, projected roles on current rosters, and 2025–26 production. Prior-season figures describe what players have done, with competition level and changing roles taken into account. See the full conference preview for the team context.
Eligibility watch: Reigning A-10 Player of the Year Robbie Avila is seeking another season of eligibility, and his case is unresolved as of October 1. He is outside the numbered list while his availability remains uncertain. If he is cleared and can join Saint Louis's roster, he belongs at or near No. 1; the tenth player below would move to “next in line.” A-10 awards · Court docket
The projected top 10
1. Lazar Djokovic, VCU — forward/center
The returning first-team All-A-10 selection is the safest two-way anchor in the league. Djokovic averaged 13.2 points and 5.2 rebounds for a VCU team that shared the regular-season crown and won the league tournament. His ability to score inside and stretch possessions gives the Rams a firm starting point while the perimeter roles change. VCU roster · VCU career statistics
2. Tarence Guinyard, Duquesne — guard
Guinyard gives the Dukes a proven lead option: 16.6 points and 4.69 assists per game in 2025–26. He earned first-team All-A-10 recognition and can create against set defenses. Duquesne's finish depends on whether its many newcomers make good use of the chances he generates. Duquesne postseason honor · 2026–27 roster
3. Baraka Okojie, George Mason — guard
Okojie returns to Mason after averaging 19.7 points and 5.3 assists at Mercer, where he made the All-SoCon first team. He gets to the line, creates for teammates and already knows Tony Skinn's defensive expectations from his first stop in Fairfax. The step back into A-10 competition is real, but this is the newcomer with the clearest path to changing the top of the race. Mason's Okojie announcement
4. Amaël L'Etang, Dayton — forward
L'Etang averaged 11.9 points and 5.9 rebounds while hitting 35 threes. At 7-foot-1, he presents matchup problems that Dayton's revamped guards can exploit. The question is how much more offense can run through him without asking him to do too much off the dribble. Dayton's 2025–26 statistics · 2026–27 roster
5. Jaiden Glover-Toscano, Saint Joseph's — wing
Glover-Toscano started all 34 games he played and led the Hawks with 15.7 points per game in the official season statistics, adding 4.8 rebounds and 90 made threes. His size and shotmaking keep Saint Joseph's in the upper-division conversation. A larger playmaking burden after roster changes could raise his profile further. Saint Joseph's season statistics
6. Trey Green, Saint Louis — guard
Green made 92 threes at 44.2 percent and averaged 10.7 points last season. His shooting has value whether Avila returns or not. If Avila cannot play, Green and the other guards will have more responsibility for organizing the offense. The ranking reflects both his proven shotmaking and the possibility of a larger role. 7. Amari McCottry, Saint Louis — wing
McCottry averaged 10.5 points and 5.3 rebounds and gives the Billikens size and physicality on the perimeter. He was a third-team all-conference selection last season. If Saint Louis shifts more possessions to its wings, he has a strong case to finish above seventh. Saint Louis statistics · conference awards
8. Amon Dörries, Richmond — center
Blue Ribbon identifies Dörries as a leading newcomer. He averaged 16.2 points and shot 54 percent at Bucknell as an All-Patriot League freshman. Richmond can use a skilled interior player in several ways, and he may quickly become the hub of its offense. His production still has to translate against stronger A-10 frontcourts. 9. Donald Hand Jr., Loyola Chicago — guard
The Virginia Beach native averaged 12.4 points in his final season at Boston College and has started 57 games over the last two years. Loyola needs reliable scoring after a difficult 2025–26 season. Hand has the size and proven shotmaking to provide it, though his role alongside returning Xavier Amos still has to settle. Loyola player bio
10. Omari Witherspoon, George Washington — guard
Witherspoon made 25 starts at Pittsburgh as a freshman, averaging 7.5 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists. Blue Ribbon lists him among its top newcomers in the conference. His two-way potential and expected opportunity in a new GW rotation put him on the edge of our ten, but 11 arrivals mean his role and usage are less certain than those of the returning stars above him. Next in line: Saint Louis's Kellen Thames, Davidson's Josh Scovens and incoming scorer Nick Janowski, and Saint Joseph's Austin Williford. A healthy Brayden O'Connor could also move into this group. Their cases differ: some have produced in this league, some are moving from a different role or level, and one is returning from injury. Davidson roster · Saint Louis roster · Williford bio
Research note: The 2026–27 Blue Ribbon yearbook's Atlantic 10 honors and team outlooks informed the candidate pool, alongside official school rosters, biographies and 2025–26 statistics.
